The latest Hollywood blockbusters will be hitting Digbeth from November as the Mockingbird launches a brand new cinema and bar.

The Mockingbird Cinema and Kitchen, based in the Custard Factory, will become a full-time cinema from 18 November – officially launching with the new Warner Bros’ mega-release Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The 100-seat cinema will typically offer four screenings a day, seven days a week, with special offers and concessions available to its customers.

As well as the usual cinema treats like popcorn, nachos and sweets, the cinema’s kitchen and bar will also offer a wide variety of southern American inspired food. Chilli-cheese fries, cuban sandwiches, pulled-pork burgers and vegan burritos are all on the menu. The cinema’s co-owner and chef, Anthony Duffy, will also be concocting a range of special cocktails and dishes to compliment the films on show.

The bar will be open from 11am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am till late on Fridays and Saturdays.

Tickets cost £9.50 for adults and £7.50 for concessions. For more information, listings and to book tickets visit www.mockingbirdcinema.com
