AireCon analog gaming festival returns to Harrogate

One of the UK’s largest analogue gaming festival’s, AireCon, returns to Harrogate 8-10 March and it promises to be the biggest one yet.

Analog gaming covers all sorts of game types; from board and tabletop, to card games, wargaming and social deduction.

AireCon has something for everyone and while that may seem like a bold statement, the festival’s partnership with Travelling Man is making it a reality, with over 350 games on offer for visitors to borrow and play for free throughout the event.

If you’re after something to really sink your teeth into, there will be plenty of RPGs to explore in the Paizo RPG Zone. The games in this area will be run by experienced GMs, so you can dive right in for just £2 per player. Games include Pathfinder, Starfinder, Vampire: Requiem, Wrath & Glory and many more. With places limited, you’ll need to be quick and sign up here.

With so many games to try your hand at, it would be rude to not take a few home. There will be plenty of traders selling their wares as well as a Bring ‘n’ Buy area where you can pick up a bargain (or even sell a few of your own).

If you fancy broadening your horizons a bit, there will be a number of seminars taking place across the weekend with some of the gaming industries top minds, developers and players, including Chris and Lindsey from Behind the Box, Dan Hughes, host of the Sporadically Board podcast and even Great British Bake Off contestant (and board game fanatic) Kim Joy. The amazing Ross Connell from More Games Please will also be making an appearance (seriously, check out this guy’s website).

We’ll be mooching around on Saturday, so make sure you come say hi, or even join us for a game or two.

Tickets for AireCon are available now. For more information and to buy your tickets, visit www.airecon.uk or check out the Facebook page.
