After months of tinkering and multiple revisions, Wizards of the Coast is officially releasing the Artificer class in its new Dungeons & Dragons sourcebook, Eberron: Rising From The Last War.
Back in February 2019, Wizard’s of the Coast released a revision of the new tinkering spellcaster, the Artificer via Unearthed Arcana. In May, this was followed up by the announcement of two new subclasses; the Archivist and Battle Smith. While the class was only released as playtest content, it left D&Ders practically salivating for the class’ official and final release.
Well, the wait is over. Wizards of the Coast has announced the release of its latest campaign sourcebook and it’s a doozy. Eberron: Rising From The Last War, will see players explore the lands of Eberron, set in a period after a vast destructive war on the continent of Khorvaire. The war-torn world is filled with magic-fueled technology, airships and lightning trains.
As well as the Artificer, the new sourcebook brings with it a whole host of exciting new additions, including:
- 16 new race/subrace options including the Warforged, a race of living constructs and Dragonmarks, which magically transform certain races from the Payer’s Handbook
- A new D&D game element, the group patron – allowing you to develop a background for the entire party
- Swarms of horrific new monsters born from the world’s devastating wars
- Plus a whole load more
As with most of the recent sourcebooks, Eberron: Rising From The Last War will also come with an alternative cover designed by Vance Kelly, the genius behind the Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes alt cover.
Eberron: Rising From the Last War is released 19 November 2019. You can pre-order your copy now from Amazon and your local game store now.
