Now we all know vintage is in this season, if you didn’t, where have you been hiding?

This month sees the dawn of a new era for all that is vintage and independent, as the teams behind the Custard Factory’s ever popular Urban Village and Sutton’s Vintage & Arts Fair join forces to create a stunning new vintage experience in the form of Mr Bird’s Emporium.

Following the layout of a traditional department store which we’re all familiar with, Mr Bird’s showcases some of the best in independent, vintage and retro style, with 10 permanent retailers selling their wares ranging from pick n mix jewellery and American style sports jackets, to truly outrageous vintage couture that would make even Pat Butcher that little bit envious. Particular favourites of ours were Uptodated, Sneeky Fox Vintage Apparel and Vintage Hideaway.

Mr Bird’s really does epitomise vintage fashion at affordable prices, something which can actually be quite hard to find now.

Open Tuesday – Saturday, 10:30am – 5:30pm, Mr Bird’s Emporium is definitely worth a look if you’re in Birmingham. Just 10 minutes walk from the Bullring, you couldn’t ask for more in a retail experience.
